(SACKVILLE, NB) The Mounties welcomed UKC for their first meeting at home this season and would go on to win three sets to one (25-13, 25-20, 23-25, 25-21).
Pacing the Mounties offensively was Chloe Nichols (White Rock, NS) with 16 kills to go with seven digs. Erica Astephen (Halifax, NS) would contribute all over the court with seven kills, seven digs and five serve aces. Mount Allison setter Logan Tait (Saint John, NB) would add 31 assists and now sits fourth in the league at 5.94 assists per set.
The Blue Devils were led by the consistent performance of Frances Cooke (Hamilton, ON) with 16 kills, 14 digs and three serve aces. Maddie Dever (Quispamsis, NB) would add nine kills, 12 digs and two solo blocks of her own in the loss.
UKC (8-4) will next play MSVU tomorrow at 3 p.m.
Mount Allison (7-6) for their part will host Crandall on February 1, tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
