Mounties weather Hurricanes

The Mounties showed poise in their victory against the Holland Hurricanes. After taking a 19-4 lead in the first set they had to weather the hurricane who came storming back winning 15 of the next 18 points on the back of a 10 serve run by Charlotte Sweetapple. The Mounties were able to regain momentum and polish of the first set by a score of 25-20.

The Hurricanes came out firing early in the second set, but the Mounties were able to stop their surge fairly early and took control of the set winning it 25-15.

The third set was hotly contested, with 5 lead changes, the Mounties prevailed 25-23 to seal the 3-0 victory.

Ella Boudreau led the way offensively for the Mounties with 14 Kills. The Hurricanes had a more balanced attack with Morgan White (5), Makena Marble (4) and Myah Utrosa (4) leading their attack.

Up next for the Mounties, they travel to UNBSJ to take on the Seawolves on Nov 19^th at 1pm AST. The Hurricanes next ACAA action will see them host the Crandall Chargers on November 19^th at 2pm in Charlottetown, PEI.
