2021-22 Night of the Mounties Women's Volleyball
The Mounties Volleyball team had a great deal of success this year finishing the regular season with a 10-4 record. Unfortunately, they fell just short in their semi-final match up against MSVU in the playoffs. The Mounties Volleyball team collected their respective awards at the Night of the Mounties held on March 31st.
The Most Valuable Player on the Women’s Volleyball team was awarded to outside attacker, from Charlo, New Brunswick, Sophie Landry. She also received the Overall Outstanding Female Senior Athlete award at the Night of the Mounties. In addition to both those awards, Landry was named ACAA Women’s Volleyball Player of the Year and named a 2022 CCAA All-Canadian.
Logan Tait, from Saint John, New Brunswick, was presented the Mounties Volleyball Rookie of the Year award.
Sofia Graziani, from Riverview, New Brunswick, was presented the Gigi Hicks Sportsmanship Award. This award is given to a Mounties female athlete who shows strong commitment to their sport, a good attitude toward competition, improvement over the past year, and continually makes positive contributions to the team.
