
Mounties women's volleyball welcome Marie Fogarty
The Mount Allison University Women’s Volleyball team is proud to announce our latest committed athlete, Marie Fogarty. Marie is a 5’10 Middle / Leftside from Charlottetown , PEI. For the past 3 years Maire has been a member of the Colonel Grey Highschool Volleyball Team. She has also competed for Team PEI at the Canada Cup and on the beach for the last two years. Marie has played for the Hurricanes Club team she has also been a part of the Island Surge Club program. Marie is a versatile utility player who can play numerous positions and will add to the depth of the program.
“I am thrilled to have Marie join the Mounties program; she is great Middle blocker with the skills to play on the outside. She has the passing and defensive skills to play at this level. She will add to our depth as a program being able to play multiple positions. Marie will be an exceptional addition to the ‘Culture’ of the program here at Mount Allison University.” states Coach Crouse
“Marie's drive and motivation to get better makes it really easy to coach her. She is a competitive athlete and sets strong goals to herself and teammates increasing the team’s overall performance” says Alice Champion , former ACAA Holland College standout . She has started her next chapter giving back to the game by coaching she coaches the Canes 18u team and the PEI Canada Games team.
