Mounties attack held off by Hurricanes

The visiting Holland Hurricanes proved too much for the host Mount Allison Mounties, defeating the Mounties 3-1 by scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-19. the Mounties lone win came in the shape of a 25-21 score.

Rachel McDougall lead the MTA attack with 16 kills, with Rachel Van Gestel and Brooke Gillespie each adding 7. The Mounties made each contest close, but were unable to outscore their opponents. The loss ended Mount Allisons 7 game winning streak. It also comes one day after defeating UKC 3-1.

Holand was lead by Megan Leblanc with 14 kills, while Brittaney States and Alice Marques added 9 and 8 respectively.

The Mounties next game will be on Sunday Janruary the 8th against the Saint Thomas Tommies, as the Mounties will look to take advantage of the home court advantage.
