The Mount Allison Mounties defeated the St. Thomas in straight sets on Sunday for their 2nd win at home in as many days. On Saturday, the Mounties emerged with a 3-2 win in a hard fought battle with the UNBSJ Seawolves.
On Sunday, the Mounties used a quick start to take control of the first set on route to a comfortable 25-8 win. The Mounties fell behind early in the 2nd set but recovered to eventually take the set 25-23. In the third set the Mounties were able to finish the job with a 25-17 win.
Mounties freshman Rachel McDougall led the Mounties in kills while Deidra Jones and Megan Mills led the way for the Tommies.
After losing their season opening match to UKC, the Mounties now sit 3-1 after wins against Ste. Anne, UNBSJ and STU.
