(SACKVILLE, NB) The Mount Allison Mounties women's soccer team returned to Alumni Field on Sunday afternoon to play host to the UPEI Panthers on Homecoming weekend in Sackville.
Balanced play in the first half saw 3 shots from UPEI and 2 from Mount Allison but neither team could find the first goal of the match as the teams would head back to the locker rooms the way it began at halftime, tied at 0-0.
Mount Allison would have the better of the chances in the second half from multiple corners, but neither team was able to open the scoring in this one as the points were shared in a 0-0 draw.
Mount Allison (0-6-1, 10th in conference) will play their next match on Thursday, September 26th against Les Aigles Bleues of Université de Moncton at home in Sackville with kick-off set for 5:00pm. UPEI (1-4-2, 9th in conference) will return home for their next match as they take on Acadia in Charlottetown on Sunday, September 29th with kick-off set for 1:00pm.
