(SACKVILLE, NB) The Mount Allison Mounties women's soccer team returned to Alumni Field on Sunday afternoon to play host to the Saint Mary's Huskies on a rainy day in Sackville.
Saint Mary's would be awarded a penalty kick in the 13th minute but were unable to capitalize. Both teams traded chances throughout the first half with neither being able to reach the scoresheet, and the teams went into the break still tied 0-0.
Both teams would come out firing in the second half however as Katelyn Schuler would find the end of an assist from Alexa Ikejiani to put the visitors ahead 1-0 in the 51st minute. Just two minutes later however Victoria Jones would find the equalizer for the Mounties with a thrilling solo effort. However that would be the closest the home side would come as it was Katelyn Schuler's day at Alumni Field with the first year forward finding the back of the net twice more in the 72nd and 87th minutes to push Saint Mary's to the victory.
