The Mount Allison Mounties finished the AUS women's soccer season on Saturday with a 2-0 loss at Alumni Field to the UNB Varsity Reds.
The host Mounties found themselves down 1-0 at halftime as a result of Sylvie Fecteau's first half goal for UNB. The visiting Varsity Reds extended their lead to 2-0 in the 70th minute when Lauren Cubbon found the back of the net.
With the win UNB finishes 5th in the AUS and advances to the playoffs next weekend. The 2016 AUS Women's Soccer playoffs will be played at Cape Breton University. The Mounties, who finished with a 1-9 -2 record finished in 9th place.
