
Tommies Earn Road Win at Mount Allison

The Mount Allison Mounties women's hockey team returned to the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre on Wednesday night looking for their second win in a row as they played host to the St. Thomas Tommies.
St. Thomas would strike in quick succession midway through the first period as Ekaterina Pelowich and Aimee O'Neill both found the back of the net to give the visitors a 2-0 advantage that they would carry into the first intermission.
The Tommies would not stop there as Nadia Lavoie would score midway through the second to extend the lead to 3, and St. Thomas would hit twice on the powerplay later in the period thanks to Katelin Moffatt and Claire Nimegeers to head into the second intermission ahead 5-0.
Natalie MacKay would add the sixth and final goal for St. Thomas five minutes into the third period, and the Tommies would go on to win this one by a score of 6-0.
St. Thomas (6-4-2) are back in action on the road in Halifax against Saint Mary's on Friday, November 15thwith puck drop set for 7:00pm. Mount Allison (1-12-0) travel up the road to Moncton on Friday the 15th to take on Les Aigles Bleues, with puck drop also set for 7:00pm.
