Mounties women's hockey welcomes Chelsea Krahenbil to program
The Mount Allison Mounties women's hockey program is proud to announce the signing of Chelsea Krahenbil from Winnipeg, MB. Krahenbil is currently an assistant captain with the Balmoral Hall Blazers of the Junior Women's Hockey League (JWHL.)
Krahenbil, who is interested in studying science when she arrives at Mount Allison in the fall of 2021, is known to be a versatile forward who works hard at both ends of the ice. Krahenbil has great puck-handling skills especially in tight spaces and she also has a dangerous shot.
"I am so unbelievably excited and honoured to be playing with the Mounties next season'" offered Krahenbil. I" have heard only the best things about Mount Allison and their hockey program as a whole. I can't wait to finally be a part of the Mountie family and start this new chapter of my life!"
First year Mounties coach Lucrèce Nussbaum had this to say about Krahenbil, "I'm very happy about the addition of Chelsea to our lineup. A speedy, gritty play maker with a great knack for in tight goals who will be sure to contribute in all areas of the ice. She's also known to be a great team player and will undoubtedly fit in perfectly with our group."
With the Mounties, Krahenbil will join two other Balmoral Hall graduates. Goaltender Bianca Zak and defenseman Ashlee Hodge-Hirschfield have also arrived to the Mounties from the Balmoral Hall program.
