Mounties beat Tommies to finish regular season on 14-game win streak
(SACKVILLE, NB) In the regular season finale the #1 in the country ranked Mounties welcomed the Tommies in McCormack Gymnasium in front of the largest crowd of the year. Mount Allison would go on to win 60-41 and extend their unbeaten streak to 14 games.
Senior forward Abby Miller (Mt. Denison, NS) led the way offensively for the Mounties posting 17 points on an efficient 7-for-13 shooting percentage. She currently sits fifth in the league in field goal percentage at 47.9%. Maddie Greatorex (Truro, NS) with another big performance on both sides of the ball registering nine points and 11 rebounds.
Vanessa Soffee (Fredericton, NB) and Kylee Roi (Saint John, NB) both put up eight points for the Tommies as the team were held to under 22% shooting.
After the game both the Women's and Men's Mounties basketball programs recognized their seniors. These remarkable student-athletes have left an indelible mark on the court, in the classroom and both on the Mount Allison campus and in the community. Our 2022-23 Women's Basketball graduating seniors are:

- #16 – Abby Miller
- #21 – Torrie Janes
St. Thomas (11-7) will host the 2023 Women's Basketball Championships next week in Fredericton, NB. They enter as the fourth-seed and will play UKC in the quarterfinals on March 3.
Mount Allison (16-2) finishes the regular season first in the ACAA conference and will play the lowest seed remaining in the semi-final game on March 4. Game-time to be determined.
