Mounties push winning streak to 11 games with win against Chargers

(SACKVILLE, NB) In what was their second meeting in six days, the hometown Mounties beat Crandall by a score of 65-46.
Lauren Furlong (Amherst, NS) continued her offensive output as she contributed 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting for the Mounties. Torrie Janes (Fredericton, NB) also provided a spark on offense with 11 points, five assists and three steals. First-year forward Danielle Alexander (Woodstock, NB) with another good performance going for 10 points and seven rebounds.
Leading the way for the Chargers was the trio of Kylee Balser (Moncton, NB), Kassidy Hamilton (Derby Junction, NB) and Emily Briggs (Bath, NB) who put up 14, 12 and 11 points respectively. Alexa Rancourt (Charlottetown, PEI) hauled in a game-high 19 rebounds.
Mount Allison (13-2) will look to clinch 1st place when they travel to MSVU for a 1 p.m. game on February 18.
Crandall (2-13) for their part will next play UKC on the road on February 18 for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
