
Women's volleyball Mounties welcome Monica Gollaher
The Mount Allison University Women’s Volleyball team is proud to announce our latest committed athlete, Monica Gollaher. Monica is a 5’6 Libero from Charlottetown, PEI. For the past 3 years Monica has been a member of the Colonel Grey Highschool Volleyball Team. She has also competed for Team PEI at the Canada Cup and on the beach for the last two years. Monica has played for the Hurricanes Club team she has also been a part of the Island Surge Club program. Monica has had success in other sports in High School Sports such as rugby, basketball and track.
“I am thrilled to have Monica join the Mounties program; she is a top-level defender and will add to our teams’ defensive mentality. Monica is extremely competitive, motivated and will push others on serve receive for the team. She has a take-charge attitude and will be an exceptional addition to the ‘Culture’ of the program here at Mount Allison University.” states Coach Crouse.
“I’m thrilled to see Monica further her education as a volleyball student athlete. It’s always fun to have her in the gym, she’s competitive, hard working, and has a go getter attitude that every coach wants in their gym” says Alice Champion , former ACAA Holland College standout . She has started her next chapter giving back to the game by coaching she coaches the Canes 18u team and the PEI Canada Games team.
