The Mount Allison Lady Mounties hosted the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics Saturday, and were outplayed in a lopsided 71-40 loss in a game that saw the Mounties notch just two total assists as a team. The high powered Mystics came into the game with an impressive 13-2 record. The Mounties came in with a 7-5 record.
The Mounties were trailing by 10 at halftime, and were unable to recover from such a deficit 9 Mounties scored including Kate Ollerhead who lead MTA scorers with a team high 10 points while adding 5 rebounds on 5 for 7 field goal shooting. Jill Harris had 9 and Kiersten Mangold brought the Mounties 6 points.
MSVU proved to be too much for MTA to handle as the Mystics top three scorers combined for more points than the entire Mounties team. Maria Carroll lead the MSVU attack with 18 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.
MTA managed a 65-57 win over Saint Thomas on Sunday behind Kiersten Mangold's 16 points and 14 rebounds.
