The Mount Allison Mounties dropped the Kings College Blue Devils 60-45 on a rare Tuesday night matchup in ACAA women's basketball action. The game was being played as a makeup game for games that were originally scheduled for February 5th but had to be cancelled due to stormy weather.
The Mounties rode the hot hands of senior Maddy McDonald who went 11-17 from the field and led all scorers with 27 points. McDonald was 5-8 from behind the three point line. Sophomore Sara Ripley chipped in with 10 points, going 5-7 from the field.
The Blue Devils were led by Jessica Simm who had 12 point (5 for 9).
With the win the Mounties move to 10-5 on the season and now sit in 3rd place, two points up on MSVU (9-6). The Blue Devils drop to 2-14 on the season. The Mounties are back in action om Saturday when they host MSVU at the McCormack gymnasium.
