Bio

Sarah is entering her third season  as the Head Swim Coach at Mount Allison.

Prior to moving to Sackville, Sarah worked for Swim Ireland for four years as Regional Development  Coach. Originally from Toronto, she coached at the Brock University club team for 16 years, and has held coaching positions in Ottawa, Gatineau, Huntsville, Winnipeg, and Grande Prairie. While pursuing a Master of Education Degree in Coaching and attending the National Coaching Institute in Victoria BC, she coached at the Victoria BC HP Training Centre, working with Olympic medallists Ryan Cochrane & Hilary Caldwell, as well as several other Olympic/National teams members. Sarah was involved in NCCP coach education development as a contractor with Swim Canada for several years and has been active in coach education throughout her career. She was a mentor coach for Swim Manitoba, and is am currently involved with Swim New Brunswick as the Provincial High Performance Coach.

Sarah lives in Sackville with her husband Mark (who has coached swimmers in 4 Olympic Games), and between them they each have 2 children, 5 grandchildren and have just adopted two Abyssinian kittens, Roisin & Aoife. In her “spare” time Sarah enjoys travelling, running, knitting, and kayaking.
