Swim Mounties hit the water for first meet of the season

The Mount Allison Mounties kicked of the 2021-22 AUS swim season with a trip to Acadia on Saturday for the 12th Annual Jack Scholz Invitational Meet.

Top scoring swimmer for the Mounties was Oliver Keith with a 3^rd place finish in the 200 Breaststroke. 

Other individual point scorers were: 

• Abigail Flann 5^th place finish in the 200 IM
• Andrew Kuiper 6^th  100 Backstroke
• Madaleine Polsfut 6^th 200 IM

Scoring with two 4^th place finishes were the Men's Relay Teams. Scoring on the men's side in the 200 Medley Relay were Andrew Kuiper, Oliver Keith, Mat Legare & Ethan Scheerer, while in the final event of the night, Scheerer, Legare, Sebastian Cariaga & Dalton Buller scored with another strong 4^th place finish in the Men's 400 Free Relay. 

Not to be outdone, the Women's relays also scored, with Abigail Flann, Lindsey Partington, Jillian Downey & Thea Button placing 5^th in the Women's 400 Free Relay & Partington, Polsfut, Flann and Downey placing 5^th in the 200 Medley Relay. 

The Men's team currently sits in 4^th place, ahead of UNB Reds by a 3 point margin.
