Mounties welcome Colby Mercer to men's soccer program

Mount Allison Men's Soccer Head Coach George Jenkins has announced that he is pleased to welcome Midfielder Colby Mercer who will join the Mounties at the start of the 2021 AUS/ U SPORTS season.

"Colby adds tremendous quality and depth to an already exciting midfield core," commented Coach Jenkins. "It was immediately identified that Colby would be a great addition to the program. Colby is a fast, skillful and committed player."

Colby joins the Mounties from Beaverbank, Nova Scotia. He has played for Suburban FC, the Nova Scotia Provincial Team and volunteers with the Central FC Youth Soccer Program.

"I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts while majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology," shared Mercer. "My preferred position is on the wing, but have also played in the central attacking midfield role. I’m looking forward to my time and experience at Mount Allison and being a part of the Mounties!"
