Chargers Get By Mounties
The Mount Allison Mounties hosted the Crandall Chargers in Sackville, NB on Friday evening. Crandall Charged out of the gates in the first quarter and held a 27-18 lead at its completion. The Mounties answered in the second quarter limiting the Chargers and scoring in bunches resulting in a 41-40 lead at half for the home team. Unfortunately for the Mounties they were not able keep this momentum in the third quarter as the pendulum swung back to the Chargers who finished the quarter strong and would keep the lead the rest of the way.
Devon Glenn and James French lead the way for the Chargers with 19pts and 18 pts respectively, French also contributing 12 rebounds. Tim Ellison set the high water mark on this night for the Mounties with 15pts and 12 rebounds. Emanual Adugna scored 13 pts of the bench and Jonas Munroe contributed 12pts.
The Mounties (7-6) will be traveling to PEI on Sunday for a 3:00pm matchup with the league leading Holland Hurricanes. While the Chargers (9-5) will be back in action on Wednesday night in a rematch of tonight's game as they will once again travel to Sackville for an 8:00pm start.
