(SACKVILLE, NB) Mount Allison hosted the Seawolves in ACAA Men's Basketball action on Sunday afternoon and would end up winning by a score of 89-84. With the win the Mounties move a half game back of third-place
Leading the way offensively for the Mounties was the combination of ACAA leading scorer Noah McCarthy (Grand Falls, NB) and Emanual Adugna (Toronto, ON) – McCarthy would finish with 24 points and three rebounds while Adugna contributed 21 points, six rebounds and two assists and steals. Big-men duo of Tim Ellison (Halifax, NS) and Rashawn Ferguson (Nassau, Bahamas) combined for 32 points and 15 rebounds.
The Seawolves leaned on Ethan Szemerda's (Saint John, NB) 26 points and 12 rebounds as the second-year guard nearly orchestrated a fourth quarter comeback.
Mount Allison (7-5) will look to continue their winning ways as they host Crandall on February 10 for a 8 p.m. tip-off.
UNBSJ (0-12) for their part will host MSVU on February 11 at 3 p.m.
