Miller Named Badminton Coach of the Year

First year Mounties Head Coach Michael Miller has been named the 2019-2020 ACAA Badminton Coach of the Year. Miller was presented with his award during the 2020 ACAA Badminton Championship held at the University of Kings College on the weekend.

At the championship the Mounties won their 3rd straight silver medal. The Mounties showed continued improvement under the tutilage of Miller over the course of the season, picking up their first tournament win since 2018 at the final ACAA league tournament of the year hosted at DAL AC.

A former Mounties standout, Miller took over as head coach after spending one season as an assistant with the team. "We we had the opportunity to have Michael return to our program we jumped at the chance to get him involved again," offered Mounties Director of Athletics and Recreation, Pierre Arsenault. "Michael has brought a great culture to the team and his own infectious work ethic has really rubbed off on our badminton student athletes. We're looking forward to watching him build a competitive program that continues to battle for league championships."
