Mounties Compete at 2020 CCAA Badminton Nationals

Nationals:

The final portion of the Mounties Badminton season came to an end March 8, 2020 where rookies Josef Gonzalez and Mintra Taylor competed at the CCAA Badminton Championships representing the ACAA and Mount Allison University.

The pair of rookies started the tournament with a commanding win over the host University Toronto Mississauga's mixed team by a score of 21-15 and 21-14. They went on to complete the round robin going 1-4, where they were up against some extremely tough competition.

With significant improvement from the start to the end of the tournament, Gonzalez and Taylor had many close matches along the way. Ultimately, the pair finished in sixth place in the tournament with a nail-biting 3 game, match to end the tournament.

Representing Mount Allison University to the highest standard and gaining great experience, the pair of rookies look forward to continuing their development with their teammates at outside tournaments in preparation for a strong 2020-2021 campaign.
