Bio

Steve Scott is the Head Coach for the Co-Ed Mounties Badminton Program.

Steve brings a wealth of teaching and badminton experience to the Mounties program, as he inherits a team that is the 5-time defending ACAA Champions. Coach Scott played badminton for Acadia (where he won an AUAA championship in 1979) while a student there and also represented Nova Scotia at the Canada Games. Scott went on to become a certified badminton coach through the Canadian Badminton Association. Scott graduated from Acadia with a BA (English) in 1979 and he also completed a B.Ed. in 1981.

Aside from his badminton experience as a player and coach, Scott also has leadership experience as a golf professional and a ski instructor. Scott is a former Canadian Professional Golfers' Association Class A professional and he is currently the manager of the Sackville Golf and Country Club. He also has certification as a Level 1 Canadian Ski Coach and as a Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance level 2 instructor.

Scott currently resides in his hometown of Amherst with his wife Suthisa and his children Santi and Kanysta.
