Year in Review - A Coach's Perspective
At the onset of any season it is quite often difficult to know what to expect as a coach. This is especially true when taking over a brand new program.
Badminton (as with any sport) demands more from athletes than most people understand. It is a constant battle for time. Balancing classes, practice, road trips and personal lives is a huge challenge. I guess that is what makes it so rewarding.
The Mount Allison Mounties had a successful 2022-23 season. We were fortunate enough to qualify four athletes for the CCAA National Championship and laid a foundation for recruiting and building the program to be capable of winning National Titles.
A huge congratulations to all of our graduating Mounties. Your contribution to this program means more than you know.
Moving on from Mount Allison are:
Emma Fung, BFA
Amber Solomon, BA Sociology & Canadian Studies
We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. It has been a pleasure working with you.
