Update on McCormack Gymnasium Project

Access for Student Groups

Beginning Sunday, February 5, intramural basketball and club sports will have access to the McCormack Gymnasium. Access will be scheduled on the McCormack Gym Schedule. If you have any questions on booking the gym, please contact Marcel Dupuis, Manager of Athletics at mdupuis@mta.ca.

Access for Athletic Centre Membership Holders

Students and members of the Athletic Centre will have scheduled access beginning Sunday, February 5 for basketball drop-ins. Due to the amount of work required to set up different equipment and to avoid damage to the gym floor, access is limited to the use of basketball nets only through the rest of the winter term.

Times for drop-ins will be listed on the McCormack Gym Schedule.

Future access for Sackville Community Groups

We have communicated to Sackville community groups who use the gym that they will have access in mid-March once varsity games are completed and before closing the gym again in April.

A reminder that the gym will be unavailable from mid-April through to the end of June to finish the additional work to the gym floor and to install the bleachers.
