Mounties Badminton Welcomes Wilson Paluch
Mounties Head Coach, Michael Miller, is pleased to announce that Wilson Paluch of Truro, Nova Scotia has committed to Mount Allison’s Badminton Program for the 2022-2023 season. Paluch is expected to significantly improve the Mounties line up and play a key role for the upcoming Badminton season.
Paluch’s badminton career started with his junior high school team, winning all but one of his mixed doubles games at the provincial level. Paluch would go on to find further success at the high school level competing for Cobequid Educational Centre (CEC). Finishing out the season with a third-place finish in men’s doubles in grade nine, he would follow it up with cracking the senior team the next year, despite only being in grade ten. Even through the pandemic, Paluch still found success by way of earning the MVP of his team, in his grade eleven year, despite not having any competitions, and is looking to continue his success in his final year at CEC.
Outside of his high school career, Paluch joined the Truro Badminton Club in grade 9 and has been one of the club’s top players for the last three years, gaining a lot of experience while playing in Badminton Nova Scotia tournaments. More recently, Paluch has joined the Junior Badminton Training Center’s junior training league. Being coached by Nigel Power, he has been finding success in the top division for doubles. Paluch’s development and commitment to badminton will help our Mounties to great success in the upcoming season.
As part of the Mounties community, we are extremely happy to be welcoming Paluch for our upcoming 2022-2023 season.
