JOEY’S RESTAURANT FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Mount Allison’s Department of Athletics and Recreation is pleased to announce that the Joey’s Restaurant Female Athlete of the week for the week of September 8th-14th is Myranda Weild of the Mounties soccer team. 

Weild, a 3rd year Mountie from Calgary, AB, had two strong performances for the Mounties, who lost 3-1 to UPEI on Friday and tied SMU 2-2 on Sunday.  During Sunday’s game the Mounties found themselves down 2-0 but used two second half goals, including one in the 89th minute to square the game.  After two weeks of play, the Mounties find themselves tied for 6th place in the 10 teams AUS with 1 win, 2 losses and 1 tie.
