JOEY’S PIZZA FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Fourth year goal tender, Kate O’Brien from the women’s hockey program is the Joey’s Pizza and Pasta Female Athlete of the Week for the week of January 12^th-18^th. O’Brien had a spectacular game, giving the Mount Allison Mounties women’s hockey team a convincing win over the UPEI Panthers on Sunday, January 18. Renewing their play-off hopes, O’Brien, from Greenwood, NS stopped 31 shots on goal and had a .970 save percentage in Sunday’s 4-1 victory in Charlottetown. O’Brien also came off the bench to play a solid game in a 3-2 loss against Moncton on January 16.
