Kiersten Mangold - Women's Basketball

JOEY’S FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Mount Allison’s Department of Athletics and Recreation is pleased to announce that the Joey’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week of February 29th to March 6th is Kiersten Mangold, from the Mounties women’s basketball program.

Mangold, a freshman Mounties from Peterborough, ON, had 9 points and 8 rebounds during the Mounties 64-42 ACAA quarter-final win over Kings College on Friday. On Saturday the Mounties lost a close semi-final, losing 61-52 to Crandall University. During the semi-final Mangold led all Mounties with 16 points on 6 of 13 shooting from the field.  She also added 7 rebounds for the Mounties. On Friday night Mangold was recognized as the ACAA Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Year.
