JOEY’S MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Mount Allison’s department of Athletics and Recreation is pleased to announce that the Joey’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week of October 3rd-9th is Idahosa Yorke from the Mounties football program.

Yorke, a third-year history student from Bowmanville, ON, returned eight punts for 121 yards and a touchdown in Friday night's 29-21 road loss to the Saint Mary's Huskies.

The reigning AUS special teams player of the year returned a punt 88 yards for a major to open the scoring in the first quarter, his second career punt return touchdown. He also added a 13-yard kickoff return to finish with 134 all-purpose yards in the game.

Through five games, Yorke is currently averaging 8.8 yards per punt return 15.4 yards per kickoff return.
