JOEY’S PIZZA FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Mount Allison Mounties women’s volleyball player, Sydney Umlah of Maple Ridge, BC has been awarded the Joey’s Pizza and Pasta Female Athlete of the Week for January 19-25, 2015. In a double header over the weekend, the Mounties split with a 3-1 loss to UNBSJ and then rallied to take the match to five games over DAL AC and win 3-2. Umlah was instrumental in both games, with 10 kills and several blocks on both days and willingly played a different position as a strategy in the Sunday victory. Sydney is a third year BSC – Biology student.
