JOEY'S PIZZA MOUNTIES MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Mount Allison’s Department of Athletics and Recreation is pleased to announce that the Joey's Pizza and Pasta Male Athlete of the Week for the week of October 19th to October 25th is Devante Sampson from our Mounties football team.

Sampson, a third year defensive back from Mississaugua, ON, played his usual important role as part of the Mounties league leading defensive unit. Sampson led the Mounties with 6 tackles for their 37-6 home win over Saint Mary’s on Saturday. It was the Mounties first win on Mount Allison’s brand new Alumni Field. Sampson also had his 2nd interception of the year, returning it 52 yards to set the Mounties up with good field position.

The Mounties host StFX on Saturday to round out the regular season. If the Mounties win or lose by less than 11 points, they will clinch first place and return to the Subway AUS Loney Bowl for the 3rd straight year.
