The Mount Allison Hockey Mounties claimed theeir second consecutive victory on Wednesday evening 2-1 over the University of Moncton Aigle Blues. This was their second straight win over UdeM.
The Mounties opened the scoring when Jessica Campbell, the second year forward out of Winnipeg buried home her first of the season unassisted with just 28 seconds to play in the opening frame. UdeM tied it up with just over 8 minutes to go in the second period off of a Karine Roy goal, assisted by Dominique Ber and Katryne Villenevue. The Mounties re-claimed the lead with just just 3 and a half minutes remaining in the period thanks when fourth year forward out of Miramichi, Jennifer Bell scored what proved to be the game winning goal. The assists went to Jennifer Dillon and Rosie Heffernan.
The Mounties next game is on saturday November 12th in Halifax, against the Dalhousie Tigers. The Aigles Blues take the ice next against Dalhousie in Halifax on Sunday, November the 13th.
