Swim Mounties hit the water for first meet of the season
The Mount Allison Mounties kicked of the 2021-22 AUS swim season with a trip to Acadia on Saturday for the 12th Annual Jack Scholz Invitational Meet.
Top scoring swimmer for the Mounties was Oliver Keith with a 3rd place finish in the 200 Breaststroke.
Other individual point scorers were:
- Abigail Flann 5th place finish in the 200 IM
- Andrew Kuiper 6th 100 Backstroke
- Madaleine Polsfut 6th 200 IM
Scoring with two 4th place finishes were the Men's Relay Teams. Scoring on the men's side in the 200 Medley Relay were Andrew Kuiper, Oliver Keith, Mat Legare & Ethan Scheerer, while in the final event of the night, Scheerer, Legare, Sebastian Cariaga & Dalton Buller scored with another strong 4th place finish in the Men's 400 Free Relay.
Not to be outdone, the Women's relays also scored, with Abigail Flann, Lindsey Partington, Jillian Downey & Thea Button placing 5th in the Women's 400 Free Relay & Partington, Polsfut, Flann and Downey placing 5th in the 200 Medley Relay.
The Men's team currently sits in 4th place, ahead of UNB Reds by a 3 point margin.
