Mounties Outlast Crandall in Overtime

The Mount Allison Men's basketball Mounties defeated visiting Crandall Chargers in overtime 89-87 as a last second three pointer attempt by Crandall rolled out at the very end, allowing MTA to walk away victorious. The teams headed into the halftime break deadlocked at 36. Freshman Thomas LeGallais hit the game tying layup at the very end of the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime. The Mounties were able to survive in overtime.
The game saw the Mounties hosting their final home game before hosting the ACAA Championships March 3-5th. The MTA found scoring from 10 different Mounties. Thomas LeGallais had a team high 24 points, adding 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the home team. Bradley Fuller added 20 points while Jeshua Becker scored 15.
The Chargers attack was lead by Treyvon David with a game high 29 points, adding 7 rebounds. Thomarcus Nix added 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Chargers.
The Mounties travel to Halifax on Sunday to face the ACAA's tgop team Mount Saint Vincent Mystics. Tipoff is at 3 pm.
