For three quarters the Mount Allison men's basketball Mounties went blow for blow with the CCAA #1 ranked team in the country, the Holland Hurricanes. Leading 37-36 at halftime and trailing by 4 points after 3 quarters, the Mounties eventually fell 91-68 to the defending ACAA champions.
The Mounties now head into the Christmas break in 3rd place at 5-2. Both losses for the Mounties during the first round came at the hands of the Hurricanes.
The Mounties were once again led offensively by freshman Thomas LeGallais who had 28 points on 7 of 12 shooting from the field. LeGallais was also 11 of 13 from the free throw line. Junior Bradley Sanford chipped in with 14 points.
Roosevelt Whyley had 32 points to lead the Hurricanes in the win.
