Mounties Head Athletic Therapist - Jocelyn Dowling
Jocelyn Dowling has been the Head Athletic Therapist for Mount Allison University Athletics Department since 2005. Dowling graduated from University of Guelph in 2003 with a Bachelors of Science Degree majoring in Human Kinetics. She also completed the Sports Injury Management Diploma from Sheridan College in 2003.
Jocelyn completed her certification exams to become an Athletic Therapist from the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) in 2003. Soon after, in 2005 she completed her Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) with the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and then on to her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2008.
Dowling has been involved in sports most of her life, primarily as a competitive swimmer for 15 years but also in basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball. She maintains an active lifestyle through running and triathlons. She is truly passionate about sport and about helping our athletes stay safe before, during and after an injury.
