The Mount Allison Mounties picked up their first points of the season on Saturday, posting a 0-0 shutout at home against the StFX X-women.
Sophomore keeper Sophie Austin, of Kanata, ON, led the Mounties with 8 saves in the shutout performance. Austin was named Subway Player of the Game for her effort in goal.
Alyssa Spridgeon earned the shutout in goal for the X-women. This was the first tie of the season for X-women after having started the year 3-0.
The Mounties return to action on Sunday when they host the Memorial Seahawks for a 12:30PM Sunday afternoon match. For StFX, they now continue on to Fredericton for Sunday afternoon action at UNB.
