Mounties use big rally in third set to beat Chargers
(SACKVILLE, NB) In what was the second and final meeting of the regular season between Mount Allison and Crandall, the Mounties would go on to win three sets to one (25-23, 16-25, 25-23, 25-14). The Mounties fought back being down 12-6 in the third set and did not look back.
ACAA Female Athlete of the Week Chloe Nichols (White Rock, NS) led the way offensively for the Mounties with 15 kills on just 30 total attacks. Rebecca Cotton (Charters Settlement, NB) added seven kills and 11 digs while the passing duo of Amanda MacBain (Charlottetown, PEI) and Logan Tait (Saint John, NB) would combine for 31 assists.
Crandall's offensive leader in this game and on the season was Janelle Blanchette (Cap-Pelé, NB) who racked up 10 kills and 11 digs. Setter Zoe Fournier (Moncton, NB) would dish out 18 assists and add four kills of her own.
Crandall (2-12) will host MSVU on February 4 for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
Mount Allison (8-6) for their part travel to Church Point, NS to take on the Dragons on February 4 at 4 p.m.
