Mounties Women's Soccer Welcomes 3 New Brunswick Athletes for 2022-23 Season
The Mount Allison Mounties Women's Soccer program is pleased to announce the commitments of three incoming New Brunswick soccer players, slated to join the Mounties for the 2022 fall season: Isabelle Senecal, Isabel Tanfara, and Emma Rose. “It’s great to see local products of New Brunswick soccer raise to the level of U-Sport play”, commented Head Coach Gene Ouellette, “and we are grateful that they have chosen to remain in province to take advantage of all that Mount A has to offer and look forward to welcoming these strong, dedicated student athletes to the Mountie family.”
Isabelle Senecal has played top tiered soccer in NB since an early age; She has been part of the New Brunswick High Performance Academy since grade 8, participated at several Atlantic Championships with Team NB, and has participated (and scored!) at Club Nationals (Codiac). Isabelle is known for her physical presence and finishing ability on the pitch, attributes that put her in an excellent position for success on our Mountie Women’s Soccer squad.
Isabel Tanfara is joining the Mounties from the Fundy Soccer Club, where she currently plays on their U17 premier team. She has a strong history of high-level goalkeeper training within NB and has been part of the Fundy College Performance training program. Isabel possesses both solid GK technical skills and an ability to read play, attributes that will add depth and competition within our Mountie squad.
Emma Rose has played top-tiered soccer for both Codiac and Dieppe clubs and has been part of the Canada Soccer REX High Performance program for the past 5 years. As a member of Team NB, she has competed in multiple Atlantic Championships, and was a member of the Dieppe team that placed 4th at Club Nationals (the best placing for any team from NB in the past decade). Emma has a strong presence on the soccer pitch, and her technical skills and strength make her a constant threat to counterattack down the flanks.
