Women's Soccer Mounties Earn Draw with UNB
The Mount Allison Mounties and UNB Reds played to a 0-0 draw in AUS women's soccer action at Alumni Field on Friday night. The game involved good chances on both sides but neither side was able to find the back of the net to break the tie.
The play was even throughout the game, with possession going to both sides. The visiting Reds had 13 shot attempts while the Mounties mustered 9 shot attempts of their own.
Brynn Nash picked up the shutout in goal for the Reds. For the Mounties, Sophie Austin picked up her first shutout of the year.
The Mounties' Kiana Gagnon was named the Subway AUS Player of the Game.
The Mounties return to action on Sunday when they host the Saint Mary's Huskies. UNB also returns to action on Sunday when they host the UPEI Panthers in a game that will be played at the Canada Game Stadium in Saint John.
