Mounties keep rolling with big win against Seawolves
(SACKVILLE, NB) Mount Allison hosted UNBSJ in ACAA Women's Basketball action Sunday afternoon in McCormack Gymnasium. The Mounties would take an early lead and never look back as they won 84-39 and push their unbeaten streak to 13 games.
Katie Feasby (Calgary, AB) left a big impact on this game for the Mounties posting 19 points while going 5-for-7 from the three-point line and adding seven rebounds, four steals, three assists and one block for good measure. Hilary Shea (Bedford, NS), Kaitlyn Simard (Timmins, ON), and Amelia Mitchell (Rothesay, NB) all chipped in with 10 points for the home side.
The Seawolves were led by Jenny Cripps (Miramichi, NB) with 11 points and seven rebounds with Bailey Henderson (Miramichi, NB) adding eight points and four rebounds of her own.
UNBSJ (0-16) will next play on February 24 as they host Holland College at 5 p.m.
Mount Allison (15-2) for their part will close out the regular season at home on February 25 as they host St. Thomas for a 1 p.m. start. The Mounties will be honouring their seniors before the game.
