Mounties excited to add Ottawa’s Kaden Augustin to its roster for 2023-2024
The Mounties Mens Basketball team is pleased to announce the addition of Ottawa native Kaden Augustin to its roster this coming Fall. Augustin, a 6 foot, 200lb combo guard, is a graduate of Ashbury College in Ottawa and is just completing his first year at Bishop's University. He will transfer to Mount Allison this September to pursue a degree in Economics.
Mounties head coach Steve Chapman is pretty excited about the addition of Augustin to the Mounties line up. "Kaden is going to be a great addition to our program. Before going to Lennoxville Prep this past year, Kaden was described as one of the best guards in Ottawa his senior year. He was a two-sport athlete at Ashbury, twice the school's Athlete of the Year, a two-time basketball MVP, and appeared in multiple high school all star games throughout his scholastic career. Kaden also has had extensive club experience including BGC Thunderbirds, Ottawa Elite, and Ottawa Phoenix. Kaden is a very athletic and physical guard who, in addition to being a terrific shooter, really competes at a high level."
Augustin's coach at Lennoxville Prep, Djibril Ngom, adds: "Kaden is the ultimate competitor, someone you want on your team. The way he competes on the defensive end is special. His motor on both ends of the floor is extremely high and he will do anything to help his team win."
On his commitment to the Mounties this Fall, Augustin commented: "Being from a city I felt it was time for a change. After visiting Mount A, I fell in love with the small town and its strong community vibe."
Welcome Kaden!
