Bio

Mounties Head Coach Peter Fraser enters his 6th year as Head Coach after leading the team to three consecutive playoff appearances in a row. Fraser was introduced as the Mounties Head Coach in February of 2018 and he went to work right away building a culture of competitiveness for our program. Even through a pandemic ravaged 2020 season, Fraser and his staff have continued to add depth and strength to our program through strong recruiting and player development. Fraser has helped the Mounties Football program take big steps forward on the field over the last 5 seasons. After reaching the AUS Semi-Final in back-to-back years, he led the Mounties to their first Loney Bowl appearance in 8 years in 2022, coming up just short in a 21-14 loss to St. Francis Xavier.

As a player, Fraser was a defensive lineman with the Ottawa Gee Gees in 1998 and 1999 before an injury cut short his playing days. Prior to playing with Ottawa, Fraser played at the CEGEP level with John Abbott College in Montreal. Peter graduated from University of Ottawa with a B.S.S. and is a fully certified Level III NCCP football coach.

In addition to his coaching experience at the U SPORTS level, Fraser interned in 2015 and 2016 with the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders. Fraser also served as Defensive Coordinator for Team Nova Scotia at the Canada Cup in 2012, 2013 and 2015. Fraser also worked with Team New Brunswick in 2018.

Coach Fraser and his wife Crystal live in Sackville with their son Calvin Jack (CJ).
